Well its now 2010, seems strange really, and I am now fifty, which seems even stranger.

The word fifty sounds old, but I don’t feel old.

Having a young daughter keeps me young, as do my dogs. Well they keep me fit anyway.

I am finding I have to work a lot harder to keep in shape these days though.

Myself and my daughter with the lovely cake made by Karen Buller.

I celebrated my birthdy with my doggy friends chasing dogs around.

It was great to catch up and check out some young dogs.

Specifically the Ramulam Gus x Olboa Merle litter.

Karen Buller has Smokey.

Andrew Gorton has Emma.

Ken Athertons has Willy

And Peter Doughty has Jude.

The all look impressive. Jude is the most placid and calm, Emma sort of in between and Smokey and particularly Willy fairly full on and a bit of a handful.

Emma in full flight.

Willy, getting a steady up from Ken.

Ken and Andrew also had a couple of impressive young Kelpies, by Don Robertsons Allana out of Ken's Ramulam Lady.

I didn't get as many photos as I would have liked, too busy talking I guess.

Jake had the once over from Ken and Andrew. Although he is registered with the Working Kelpie Council he still needs to be inspected before he can be registerd with the WAWSDA.

Hopefully there are some Jake Angel pups in the making.

Jane Dorrel and family made the trip from Bremer Bay and it was nice to catch up.

Jane’s Dusty (Swagman Clancy X Glenview Cloud) has been working hard and worn out his pads a bit so was strutting around in boots, very stylish.

Jane has another baby, Lucky, a sweet little girl from Neil Kristansen’s Badgingarra Ellie by Bellview Shadow.

She was a little quiet but with some prompting from Blizzard she was soon playing.

Balto has had very little work and was a touch feral, but worked ok. Thanks Karen for the photo.

Pixel is still not quite switched on but looked nice when she was focussed.

Jake has had another trip to the Vet, with a torn nail this time, so is now sporting a bandage. It doesn’t slow him down though. Blizzard was just happy to have another playmate.

And I have finally hatched out a white peachick.

It has been unbearable hot so not much of anything happening.

We finished harvest in between harvest bans.

School holidays are always a bit of a chill out time, with swimming lessons and the like, plus we try to make time to see a movie and visit family etc so the dogs have to sit tight for a while.

But as I might have a couple of dogs out of action this year having pups I will have to train a couple of the young ones or I will not have enough trial dogs. So no excuses now!
