The main news is that at last I do have some puppies.
On the 28th of April Rio had nine beautiful little bundles.
The sire was eastern states import, Andron Jake. (Futura Ned x Futura Suzuki.)
Five females and four males. The two red and tans are both females.
Before and after shots.

And I now have a new camera as my last one was just not doing it’s job.
It is a Fuji HS 10.
I spent a lot of time researching cameras. There is a bewildering array our there.
This one had good reviews, the longest zoom, a good video and took good action shots.
Although I am still working it out, below are some shots I have taken so far.

Caleb at full run ready to knock me flat.
Dolly chasing a rabbit.
This one was taken at full zoom, (the camera has a 30x zoom)handheld so I was quite mpressed.
Yindi and Silky.
I was also impressed with this shot, taken mid afternoon, on full zoom handheld.
Brother and sister, Balto and Blizzard, having a game.

CALM have been burning off some of the bush reserve around our place.
So for over a week we have been choked by thick smoke that blotted out the sun.
With no wind it all it settled down on the ground and made visibility poor and our lungs gasp not to mention our eyes sore. Lets hope thay will soon be finished.

On the farm front the weather has been uncomfortably warm during the day and is rapidly shriveling the lovely grass we had.
Our gullies and low country is looking nice and green still but the hillsides are struggling.
This is the problem with such an early break.
If it rains in the next week or so it will help a lot, but the forecast is not encouraging.
However we have obtained huge benifit from the green grass we have had. It is a real boost for the sheep, supplying nutrients sheep simply don’t usually get from anything else but green grass.
We are feeding some mobs of sheep again to keep the pregnant ewes and young sheep going.
Hopefully real rain is not too far away.
Otherwise not to much farm work happening apart from moving the occasional mob from paddock to paddock.
So with a little time to spare I am trying to get some dogs trained.
I only need motivation. Sigh!.
