Hi, and welcome to my website. My name is Nan Lloyd and I live in Darkan, a small town in the Southern area of Western Australia.
I have a passion for training and working sheep dogs and want to share it. I live on a farm and we raise Merino sheep mainly for wool. Working sheep is hard and time consuming and the use of good working dogs can make life a lot easier and the managing of sheep a lot less stressful.
Training a sheep dog to high standard can be frustrating and difficult. I hope to help others with the info on my site.
The site will be updated regularly so check back often.
Articles are written by me unless otherwise stated. Most of them are just observations I have made or training methods that have worked for me There are many methods of training and working dogs and sheep, none right or wrong, just different.
Most of the info and photos will be West Australian based but I hope to spread farther afield later on.
I welcome any training info, ideas, articles, or training tips that have worked for you. Authors will get credit for their words.
If there is anything you would like to know about training or trialing ask me and I will try to find out for you.
